Your Town Music is a volunteer online publication designed to shine a light on local, original music makers and the art that they create in the DC-Maryland-Virginia region. YTM exists to dig into songs and albums written, debuted, and released here, and bring attention to the artists behind them.

YTM aims to publish inclusive reviews of singles, EPs, albums, and shows, in addition to artist profiles and the occasional artist interview.

YTM relies on volunteer writers and editors for each of our features.  We are not good with deadlines and we have not yet found a way to be bought or sold.  We also operate with limited resources and bandwidths and may not be able to give our attention to every artist or piece or art that meets our ‘local and original’ criteria.
